Door 4- Christmas Challenge Cherish Wrapping paper🎄

This is my wrapping paper I made!
I liked doing the small details and placing them around the doc. I liked rotating them and making them pop out! 
I found it hard to make the background colour stand out with the decorations and pitchers 🎄

I learnt how to add more gradient colours to make lines of different colours🌈.!
I added some candy canes and made four Christmas trees
Then I tried to make a Santa hat to represent Santa!
I put four sentences that could represent Santa!

Door 3- Christmas Challenge how do people celebrate there Christmas🎄

How Mexico people celebrate Christmas?🎄
rom December 16th to Christmas Eve, children often perform the 'Posada' processions or Posadas. Posada is Spanish for Inn or Lodging. There are nine Posadas. These celebrate the part of the Christmas story where Joseph and Mary looked for somewhere to stay. For the Posadas, the outside of houses are decorated with evergreens, moss and paper lanterns!

The kids make clay figures of Mary riding on a donkey!


The food they eat on Christmas!

They eat  a dish called Pozel (a thick creamy soup)

Other foods Mexico people eat on Christmas! Roast Pork,Roast turkey,tamales bacalao  (salt cod).

This is my Door 2- Christmas Challenge I did level 2 for the wreath making.

The hardest part was doing the decorations to put on the wreath.

The easiest part was doing the wreath outline to actually make it!!!

Monday Rotations for Survival 2019- Cherish

Camp Cooking
(FOOD)
Our first rotation!
On our first rotation we made our (Savoury & Sweet food) we got to create our food with Ham and cheese, For our sweet food Christine and Ava cut the middle part of the banana and then we stuffed marsh-mellows and chocolate chip's in the middle of it! It was really yummy when we tried it, The marsh-mellows were really ,moist and tasty, Even though I don't like marsh-mellows I gave it a try. The banana was nice and warm. I give the food a 9/10✔️















Orienteering
(TROOP TEAM WORK)
Our second rotation was Orienteering. My team was the only team that was able to get the answer correct!!
Our task was to follow the check points to find the letters for the answer, It was really fun getting to go outside and look for many clues. As we ran around looking for the letter we got really tired from running around.!

Fire Skills
(FIRE)

On Extreme Teams, Last rotation we learnt some skills on how you can use flint & steel and how you can stop the grass from getting burned. Ms Kennedy told us that we can use rocks to layout the barrier, She told us that if we are stuck in the forest and we are making a fire and we are close to a creek or 
                                                        lake, We can use the rocks & stones from in the creek because they are wet. 
Having your rocks wet can create a safe barrier to stop the grass from burning. We used flint & steel to make a spark, 
At the end of the rotation 
Ms Kennedy tried to make a small camp fire!

survival and our 3 key sentences!

I found it hard to get as much detail as possible in the doc, I found it really easy to find the pictures and put them in the bag.

I found it fun to add the colours since my character was a girl I added some pink, I like how the story is based on a boy that has went through AL OT through school and through his family.

I disliked 
I disliked the way Brandon treated Ghost because that wasn't nice.

Cherish's Bush Survival, T4

                                               Shelter

Your shelter needs to cover you from wind and rain to protect you.

• Set your tent up on a flat and dry surface. So that your tent is straight and comfortable!

Build your shelter away from water,creeks,rivers and lakes.

                                 Fire

• Make sure your fire is located in a area were your fire won't blow out from the wind.
• Try make your fire as small as possible so that it can minimise the fuel your using.
• Use dry wood because if you use wet wood then your fire will keep going out and won't start.

                                         Water

• Find water that runs down hill and flows because it is likely to be already filtered and has least bacteria in the it.
• Focus on water. Once you have found your water purify it, drink it and then store it somewhere for later. Because if you only find a bottle worth of water you have to save some for when you really need it. 

To filter your water you can boil it over a fire

                       

                                     Signalling for help

• Start a fire, when people see smoke that alerts them to know were you are.
• If you have a whistle blow it as hard and loud as you can, Don't panic and keep your eye on the surroundings. 
• If know one finds your signal use a mirror face it to the sun and make 3 reflective flash rows which will show the universal sign for S.O.S.

                                          Basic first aid

• Take bandages and plasters for cuts and sores
• Burn ointment
• Cream
• Mask for breathing: CPR rescuing tools
• Chemical cold pack
• Swabs and cleaning wipes
• Eye shield and eye wash
• gloves so you don't touch your injury

Reasearch Cherish 2019

         

This is my Research I did for the Native Trees/plants group. We made balm out of bees wax and we made tea and put a plant in oil we covered it with glad rap. It was really interesting finding the information for my research.

Cherish Chapter Chat, Wk 4 2019 A way with words!

This is my Wk 4 Ch Ch!

I did a book review for my away with words, It was really fun creating the little pitchers with words and getting the teacher to print it out. When it was printed out I stuck them onto a A-4 page of paper and then I write one sentence bellow my Dislike. I put a Dislike part by the star rating and I disliked the way people treated Ghost because of were he lives and the state of his street. Just because someone has oversized clothing doesn't mean you can judge them.In my little sentence I put a part for Mr Charles who saved them when Ghost and him Mum were getting shot at by the Dad

Minuture scene and Calf Club day!

On Calf Club Day, The people that didn't 

have a Calf got to make a garden scene. It was really 

interesting finding out what 

people had done for there scene and how they set it out! We had a beautiful 

view when we were siting close to the windows. 

We got to see the animals

 being cheeky and not moving we had a hour to sort our design up 

I made a beach with a bridge to view the garden and the outer view 

I put marble rocks on the side and a tea towel cut into little squares and stuck the cock-tail umbrella in the sand.

 and I put little gems on the side of the water. I liked making it because it was really interesting and fun.

Term 3                                  I did the old cut down shoes and the shoes that he stole. I enjoyed drawing the Nike track shoes and writing the paragraph of writing. I found it hard to draw the old cut down shoes because I didn't know how to draw the outline.

Calendar Art 2019 Cherish

This is my 2019 Calendar Art!
I did Z entangle Art, For this option we got to do
   💥CRAZY💥 option for our group of Art, We got to do one option for a Crazy hair Idea and the other one for a clothing design. Here I did a hair design with a bit of a mix were you could add detail and design your own patterns. I found it hard to create my own little details and form them.
I give the whole Art opportunity a- ⭐⭐⭐⭐ out of five!

Term 4, Week 1 Chapter Chat Digital Design

We have got a new book called? Ghost written bye Jason Reynolds.
I made two service cards. One for the business Coach Brody does and the other one for his 🗲Defenders Track Team🗲. I did a flag to represent the Team as well. The book Ghost Itself tells us about a boy called Ghost Aka- Castle Cranshaw. Who is a seventh grade who joins the Track Team! Castle struggles from the words and meaning's from the past, Ghost fears his self because he thinks he might turn out like his father.
I really like the way we choose a book that has lots of scenes that you can think is really interesting to find out.

Cherish Holiday Writing

Title: The Trip To Tauranga

Week 1: On my first week, I went to Lotoifale's and Hemi's house for the weekend. We played outside a lot with the chickens It was really fun. On Thursday we went to go get the new car, The Car Company had a coffee and hot tea machine. Me and my family made a hot chocolate It was soothing and hot. We got hot and spicy chicken for dinner after that we went home from hamilton. Me, Hemi, Loto stayed up and watched the {Rugby- All Blacks VS Canada!} All blacks won! A-63 C- 0

Week 2:It was a really fun during the holidays,

I went to my Family’s house. First I went to my uncle and aunt's house
for four days to spend quality time with them. We played all sorts of games on the PS4
and we watched the Lion King and than.

Me my sister Chrysler and my cousin Fusion went to my

Nan's house for the rest of the holidays,

From their on we travelled a good 12 minute drive to the beach with our boy cousin’s.

And when we got home we just relaxed

and watched TV in our room and played with our cousin’s.

It was really exciting getting to see our family on Mum’s side.

Out off all I give the book Holes a 5/5%

Because it was really fun reading the book.
I found out that Zero was a ward of the state.
And it was interesting finding out new things out and.
how Stanley's dad making a new food odour cleanser. For you
feet!

I think this book would be great for other classes to read.
and vote.

I liked it when Stanley found Zero and they were
trying to work the word Mari- Lou out.

For my blog challenge I did A book cover. I did the Magic Puppies. I changed the yuppie because I couldn't find or design the original photo!
I really liked creating the design it was really interesting making the book cover on its own.

Fabulos Finish- Week 9

We have finished our CC Book we were really excited but sad at the same moment.
To finish the book. This term I did a creation that can have different things like
 -Flaps/Pop Outs/Drawings- Pitchers of the scene of the book.



I give the book a full {10/10%} because it was really entertaining.
My favourite character is Mary Lou and Kathryn Barlow


I really enjoyed having the opportunity of doing all sorts of activity.
 As a class we watched the movie holes.
 I liked how the Movie was Similar to the Chapter Book!

Last Week Of Chapter Chat- Cherish 2019

I give this book a 10/10 because it was really fun readingI really like that there is a lot of fun activities we got to do for this book!!

We have finished our book!!
It was really sad finishing our -Term 3- Chapter Chat book.
I really like that. It was fun to read .This week I did the Warden ,I liked drawing the outline and colouring. I did the long nails for her nail polish made from venom. It was really interesting finding out the information of the book.
At the start of the book our class thought that the warden was a man. But in reality she was a woman!
